Schmidbauer builts a new production plant on the premises to expanding our Switchboard and Tool Crafting departments.
Our Mechanical assembly area is 550m2 with an additional 1.600m2 for further production, which includes the Process Engineering and Quality Control departments.
We have also incorporated a new machining center for milling, drilling, and tapping designated to control cabinets and mounting plates. The ultra-modern production facility is equipped with a 4-axial control panel, which allows you to work on the entire switchboard. Therefore, we save time, with the ability to create new and better opportunities concerning efficiency and flexibility.
Our transformer production plant will still be located in the existing location of the company. Also, with today’s modern production, as well as the development of new products, such as 630 kVA transformers, makes it necessary to expand our walls for better production.
1 Phase Control-/ Isolating Transformer, Output Power 5 10 kVA
Due to the use of high quality insulating materials and special insulation design, ST series can be used as control or isolating transformer. Our UL insulation system guarantees global application possibilities
Typical applications 1 phase control transformer according to IEC/EN61558-2-2 for power supply of control circuits in machinery, terminal blocks (VDE0113/EN60204).
Isolating transformer according to IEC/EN61558-2-4 for general applications, e.g. electric (galvanic) isolation for devices according to VDE0700/EN60335.
ALN/ ALE improved safety for patients.
Leakage current limiter for use in medical and health care environment
Electrical devices for applications connected to or placed close to patients must fulfill certain characteristics concerning maximum leakage current (<100µA in typical operation mode).
However, these defined values can be exceeded when several electrical units of different classes are used simultaneously (EN60601-1-1).
ALN/ALE insulating transformers offer an additional protection for patients, personnel and attached devices.
When used as leakage current limiters ALN/ALE reduce housing and ground leakage current in order to fulfill the critical values.
All ALN/ ALE devices are also certified for use with conventional low-voltage system, outside health care areas. The devices comply to the following standards (approved according to the standards of LGA InterCert GmbH, Nuremberg:

All ALN/ALE devices already correspond to future requirements, since protective grounding is wired all the way from input to output plugs. For this reason ALN/ALE series, despite being characterized as insulating transformer, is approved for use medical appliances in health care environment.
A specially designed insulation monitor controls the insulation resistance (secundary winding). In case of lower limit failure the insulation monitor sets alarm acoustically and optically. Additionally the module serves as a transformer temperature monitor - possible overload or a lack of ventilation sets off the alarm as described above.
